In the Kitchen: Cravings' Mushroom & Crispy Shallot Nachos
This In the Kitchen is a Super Bowl Special featuring actual recipes I made last year for my Super Bowl viewing extravaganza. Okay, not so much an extravaganza but more like a grief-induced snack fest with my best friend. Sometimes life just throws you curveballs and cooking and enjoying time with friends is the only way to manage. Luckily, my best friend loves trying anything and everything I want to cook.
I put these photos up on Instagram recently, was reminded of how delicious they were, and decided to share them here just in time for the next Super Bowl. Let’s face it. Whether you watch the Big Game is irrelevant because you don’t need to find a reason to enjoy a big plate of nachos, pizza dip, or Pigs in a Blanket. But, do me a solid, and don’t do the TikTok thing where you turn an entire table into a nacho bar. There is just so much wrong with that.
Verdict: I loved these nachos, and we added avocado because…duh. The crispy shallots are so yummy, but you do have to watch they don’t burn while you’re cooking them. Everyone made buffalo dip last year, but don’t bother. Just make this pizza dip. It’s insanely easy and delicious. This is the first time I ever made pigs in a blanket and no one can resist Everything But the Bagel Seasoning.
