Five Favorites: February

January moved at a snails pace, but February moved at lightspeed. I feel as though I had a few ups and downs this month. The bummer part is always that the lows are low. Super low. I’ve been in my home girl era where most of my time is being spent trying to make my home much more desirable - if only to me. I’ve tried to be more dedicated and focused to cooking. Not even just cooking, but trying new things and not really getting into the same routine week after week. One thing I’m really proud of is entering another round of my healing era. Sometimes there are just circumstances that make one lose themselves. I feel like I’ve been struggling with that lately and trying to get back to myself has required a lot of maintenance. I’ve become more strict about my eating habits, I haven’t been drinking alcohol of any kind, and I’m trying to slowly remind and teach myself that many of the things that have happened to me over the past few years don’t define me. A lot of people may have seen behaviors and situations that made them believe certain things, but because I don’t talk about things that much, it can be really hard for people to really know what things were actually like. But I’m okay with that. I don’t want or need a gold star. I’m just happy I have been able to start digging out of a tunnel where there was a brick wall at the end rather than a tunnel.

But you’re not here for my personal life musings. You’re here for THINGS. So keep scrolling to see my favorite things from the past month!

A new bikini

Monday Swimwear, $175 (Top/Bottom)

It feels a little early to be preparing for pool days and bikinis, but when I saw this Barbie pink one I had to snatch it up. Bikinis are always enough to make anyone anxious, but I’m happy I got it. Now I’m just dreaming of pool days and beach vacations…

Vanderpump Rules

I know everyone is so bored with the new season, but I still find myself enjoying it. Maybe it’s because I don’t love an hour of people screaming at each other non-stop, I don’t know. I don’t understand the edit trying to redeem T*m but alas we deal with the cards we are dealt, ha.

My Home Girl Era

Threshold flatware, $50 / Brightroom produce bin $14

I’m not really sure why, but over the last couple of months my focus has been on upgrading all of my home stuff from plates to colanders. It’s been a whole lot of out with the old in with the new. I’m obsessed with this produce bin because, if I have one gripe, it’s having to get rid of my spring mix and herbs. After all, they go bad. This bad boy works so well I haven’t had to get rid of any greens.

goop beauty Eye Serum

goop beauty, $25

When I heard goop was doing an affordable line at Target I knew I had to try it. Luckily for me (or maybe not so much) I wanted to try a new eye serum trick so I picked this up on a whim. It was a win/win and I find myself never forgetting to put this on. It feels great on my eyes and well worth it.

Roasted Tomato & Basil Orzo Salad

Half Baked Harvest

My favorite meal this month was this Roasted Tomato and Basil Orzo salad. It was so delicious and light. Perfect weeknight meal for me and roasting my own tomatoes was actually pretty fun. I saved a bunch to keep eating throughout the rest of the week. This even tasted good as leftovers for lunch the next day cold.
