8 Things I Tried & Loved In June

I really don’t know why as soon as June hits the rest of the year turns into some chaotic avalanche that just passes by so quickly. But I guess here we are on the top of the rollercoaster ready to head down the other side at a great amount of speed whether we like it or not. You’re not really here to read my insightful commentary about the passage of time, aging, and the great chaos of life. You’re here for some stuff I tried last month and freaking loved. If you’re in the mood for some merch, a delicious beverage, or a lip mask, you’ve come to the right place.

Something About Her T-Shirt

$35

I, for one, can’t wait for Something About Her to open. Everyone knows I love a good sandwich, but can we talk about their incredible merch? Proud to be a part of this sandwich-loving Girl Gang.

Mini Ball Ice Cube Trays

Amazon, $23

I think every freezer having an ice maker should be mandatory. However, that really isn’t my current situation so when I saw someone showing this set off on Instagram I knew I had to try it. I love the perfectly sized balls it creates AND how the trays themselves fit into the plastic bin. That approach may take a little longer to get the perfect ice, but it sure does save space while waiting for it. And honestly, scooping out ice is pretty damn cathartic.

Blurring Body Glow

Lux Unfiltered, $44

Sometimes my tan just needs a little extra bronzing and imperfections could use a little covering. The Lux Unfiltered Blurring Body Glow does just that. It’s nourishing and makes my skin look and feel soft, plus the bronzing makes my skin glisten in the sun. It’s such a win-win to me, I don’t even care when I find out I accidentally dropped some on my favorite sandals.

Buckle Sandals

Zara, $50

I bought these on a whim thinking I could use a new pair of sandals for summer. I am absolutely obsessed with them. They are so comfortable and chic. They go with so many of my outfits and no matter when I toss them on or with what, they just look great.

Major Glow Lip Masque

Patrick Ta, $24

For awhile, it felt like every time I looked at this lip masque on Sephora’s website it was sold out. One day I just happened to get lucky and boy am I happy I did. This lip masque makes my lips pillow soft and it doesn’t hurt that the package is gorgeous and it smells and tastes like a damn Thin Mint cookie.

Biscoff Ice Cream Bars

$4

I don’t really feel like I need to sell a Biscoff ice cream bar to anyone. I also am not afraid to admit that I just wanted to buy out Target’s stock in case I couldn’t find them again. Hey, I’ve been waiting since last summer to find these bad boys. They are worth every ache my dairy-sensitive stomach gets.

Faux Leather Crop Top

n:philanthropy, $58 - on sale now!

How much faux leather is too much for one’s closet? Just kidding, I’m got this one anyway. It was on sale AND I’ve been eyeing it in my Revolve favorites for quite a while now. I mean just look at this outfit. The top is a little bit sexy and a whole lotta stylish. Need I say more?

Rosé Wine Spritz

Bev, $13

I won’t pretend that I don’t fall victim to packaging design. That is pretty much how this impulse buy happened. Canned wine is kind of a summer essential and these bad boys are a go-to. This spritz is sugar-free, sparkling, and has a hint of apricot - an unusual but delicious flavor for rosé.
