6 Things I Tried and Loved In February

February has been a real up and down month for me personally. It’s almost felt like a really odd fog or almost like being in some alternate universe - and no not because it was quite literally snowing yesterday when it should be pretty spring-like outside. We said goodbye to my dad this month and not having him around has been pretty tough. But there are times I can remember just what he would say to me when I was feeling down, needed advice, or just needed a laugh and it hurts just a little bit less.

I know you didn’t come here for the personal update, but I aim to be as transparent and real as possible since so much of the internet and social media are just the images we want to portray rather than what things are. If you actually took the time to read this, thank you. And if you’re here to just see what has hit my shopping cart or taken over my life in the past 28 days, here ya go.

THE MODERN PROPER STUFFED PEPPERS

$18 on Amazon

I love the Modern Proper’s recipes and their cookbook is no exception. The first recipe I tried from this cookbook was for cheese and spinach stuffed peppers. They were pure chef’s kiss.

Dark Spot Treatment

Hero Cosmetics, $13

I got this as a recommendation for my dark under-eye circles, and I was pleasantly surprised by the result. Just a little goes a long way but it makes my dark circles a thing of the past and has me looking awake in seconds.

Cap Sleeve Satin Blouse

Zara, $48

I saw this blouse while looking to get my closet ready for spring and I knew I had to have it. I am so happy I did. It is comfortable and looks pretty awesome paired with a leather jacket.

HOW TO GLOW LIGHT THERAPY MASK

Solaris Laboratories NY, $115

An impulse buy that was well worth it. It has helped my redness, stress breakouts, and made my skin feel so, so much better.

The Backpack

Beis, $78

I finally took the plunge and got a larger backpack for the gym. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy absolutely loading it up to the brim with water and workout gear, it’s that I just couldn’t resist this one. And it makes my life easier with all of it’s space, zippers, and special compartments.

Coffee Pod Holder

$26 on Amazon

I am not happy with the number of boxes with coffee pods that have been on my kitchen counter since the holidays. I finally decided to clean things up and got this little container to store them next to my tea organizer. Makes life so, so much easier.
