6 Things I Tried & Loved In September

I feel like every month when I sit to plan out content, I’m always shocked it’s whatever month. But truthfully I don’t think I’ve ever felt so shocked as I did fully realizing it’s October. Sure, October is a hell of a cool month. There is Halloween. Spooky Season is my absolute jam. And as other people have put it, I “thrive” in October. My nickname is Wednesday Addams for a reason. I am excited for my annual Horror-Thon (follow the journey in real time on Instagram), and deciding what I’m going to be for Halloween. I’m hoping I get to go on a couple of spooky adventures too.

But for now, we are wrapping up September with a few things I really tried and loved including some new pieces for entertaining, a yummy snack, a sexy bodysuit, and more.

Spooky Season Entertaining

Halloween time is my favorite time to get new stuff for the home. It just kind of fits my vibe, you know what I mean? Well, this year two of my latest finds are pretty useful and have the right amount of spooky. It’s fine to just use this year-round right?

A Sweet Treat

I know, I know. Pumpkin Spice is everywhere, but trust me. Goodie Girl cookies are incredible and while I love a bunch of the flavors, pumpkin pie is definitely my favorite right now. Sandwich cookies can really be my weakness which is why I’m happy that Goodie Girl’s are gluten-free and plant-based. A cookie I don’t have to regret!

A Hot Little Bodysuit

I am a huge fan of bodysuits, and when I saw this one I hit add to cart almost immediately. I love that it’s a little bit sexy and completely eye-catching. I mean, just look at those straps! I paired this one with a pair of cool Good American jeans to make a look that was sleek, sexy, and cool. It’s safe to say this one is gonna be in rotation for a while.

An Eco-friendly Addition

Using cotton pads to remove makeup and other applications is so yesterday. After getting frustrated with how many cotton pads and cotton balls I was using and how often I had to refill my chic little containers, I decided to pick these up on a Target run. I love that they are far more durable and easily washed within their laundry bag holder. I would suggest getting the black pads if you love a clean aesthetic. After a while, the makeup has a harder time coming off or just stains.

A Confidence Builder

For me, a good workout begins with a good outfit. After seeing this set on Bandier and Lauren Ireland, I just couldn’t say no. Le Ore & Bandier make some incredible sets and this one is no exception. I love the boning at the top which blew my expectations. I was worried it would show too much for a workout, but it shows just the right amount of skin and isn’t uncomfortable at all. The leggings are ribbed, the waistband isn’t bothersome, and I love how long they make my legs look.

A Quick & Easy Dinner

Life lately has really felt like it’s hit the gas pedal. With so much going on, I wasn’t really looking for complicated meals and really didn’t have the time anyway. I stumbled upon this recipe while looking for some one-pot wonders. Not only was it quick and easy to make, but it was super light and yummy. I was even able to add a few more ingredients I had lying around to make it extra special and use up some extra things I needed to get rid of.
