I love Christmas as much as the next person, but I don’t feel like my entire house should have to look like the scene of a Hallmark movie. Sure. Christmas towns in Hallmark movies don’t seem that bad. They ARE where all hardworking business ladies fall in love after all, but they just aren’t my thing. Getting festive doesn’t mean having to sacrifice aesthetic.

By now everyone has at least heard of Goop. But in case you haven't, Goop is a lifestyle brand started by Gwyneth Paltrow. Goop focuses on wellness, women's health, fashion, travel, and design. Goop has a reputation for recommending some pretty strange health advice and recommending products that cost more than my car over the last few years. So when I heard about this collaboration with CB2, I was a little skeptical

When Target first announced they would be doing a collection with Magnolia & Joanna Gaines, I didn't think I would be this into it. Of course, I casually checked out all of the options available. I even picked out a few that I thought were the best of the best. The products I would 100% put into my own home and show off to anyone who would listen. Cut to about a year later, and this entire collection has been my go-to nearly any time I need something to spice up my kitchen or home.

Right off the bat, when I hear the word sconce I immediately think about the lights that used to decorate my great-grandmother's bedroom. The tiny, yet stylish, lights that would softly illuminate the room when we used to invade her space to watch Bob Ross early on Saturday mornings. I always thought of sconces as an older style touch or simply just hotel lighting. Recently, I have seen so many stylish ones that I have completely changed my mind on them. I love the simplicity that they have. 

A couple weeks ago I shared a post dreaming about having a proper home office. While I have yet to actually create a home office or even begin thinking about implementing a real one, there is one thing I know it has to have. Well, really something my apartment needs in general...a gallery wall. I'm truly obsessed with them which is a little strange for someone who has OCD and prefers everything is neat and orderly. The best gallery walls have a rhyme and reason but you can't see it. What I mean is there was clearly thought put into the exact layout and where each piece of art would go, but you can't tell on the surface. I suppose its really the perfect combination of organized chaos.

Growing up a trip to Target was a treat. Today it's more like a wonderland that makes money fly right out of my wallet as soon as those doors slide open. If I can stick to the list of things I intentionally went to buy, I'm shocked. Truth be told, my list goes right out the window if I go NEAR the Hearth & Hand by Magnolia section. But now there's Made By Design. Made By Design offers simple, well-designed items at an affordable price tag. As a college student, I took 75% of my classes online which meant spending countless hours working on my bed, couch, and kitchen table. Even now I spend most of my time working from home. The more I do this, the more I begin to appreciate designated workspaces. You'd think by now I would have the whole not working at a desk thing down, but I definitely don't. Working on the couch I'm entirely tempted to watch the same re-runs of Teen Mom I've already seen 3 times. If I chose my bed, I immediately want to nap. Lately, I've been really wanting to have a home office.
