Everything I Love From Made By Design at Target
Growing up a trip to Target was a treat. Today it's more like a wonderland that makes money fly right out of my wallet as soon as those doors slide open. If I can stick to the list of things I intentionally went to buy, I'm shocked. Truth be told, my list goes right out the window if I go NEAR the Hearth & Hand by Magnolia section. But now there's Made By Design. Made By Design offers simple, well-designed items at an affordable price tag. We're talking 750 brilliant items to channel minimalistic style without breaking the bank. Well, unless you feel the need to buy every item in sight (like me). The line is meant to target millennials and compete with Ikea. Don't make me choose which one I love more. I won't be able to choose. That said, of course, their design ideas aren't new but some of them are going to become essential.
All the Reasons I Love This Collection
First, all of the cups, plates, storage containers and bowls are stackable. Perfect for people who embrace the open shelving concept or who just have minimal space. Second, the fitted sheet sent from heaven. It TELLS you which side can be used for the top or the bottom alleviating the nonsense that comes along with making and remaking the bed multiple times. Third, the soap dispensers have a wider lid for refilling. Yes, no more dripping soap all over the place trying to fill a tiny hole. The towels have hooks sewn into them for easy hanging on chic hooks. No more worrying about towels slipping onto the dirty floor (or becoming so heavy they break the towel rack bar). Then there's the touch lamps and self-straining pots. All simple touches that will become game changers. Of course, I am a sucker for bakeware and there's a whole new collection of that as well.
Overall, I love this collection. It's simple and affordable. Every piece can take the upgrade and take the place of a worn out kitchen or home essential. Below you'll find just some of the picks from the collection I have my eye on.
