By now everyone has at least heard of Goop. But in case you haven't, Goop is a lifestyle brand started by Gwyneth Paltrow. Goop focuses on wellness, women's health, fashion, travel, and design. Goop has a reputation for recommending some pretty strange health advice and recommending products that cost more than my car over the last few years. So when I heard about this collaboration with CB2, I was a little skeptical.

I do love CB2. It's the millennial-focused sister brand of Crate & Barrel which offers more modern inspired styles, after all. But, since I am not rushing out to put a jade egg into my lady parts, I had my doubts. CB2 has to have some kind of...vision to uphold right? Over the years, CB2 has done a few collaborations which made this seem promising. After seeing the photos and the art direction my opinion was changed. Some of the pieces don't seem like they would be realistic additions to any home, but certainly look stunning. I like the gold touches and the subtle color choices of the furniture. I am also obsessed with the dining chairs (seen below) although, again, they might not be the most functional choice. I love the Credenza. It's a fun, chic piece that definitely stands out and makes a statement. Possibly one of the more functional, realistic pieces in this collection. The Firewood Tote makes me wish I had a fireplace.

Goop's collection with CB2 includes furniture and homeware with mid-century modern Italian and modernist designs. Many of the designs are influenced by Gwyneth's California home, her travels, and time spent in London. She said of the collection, "Every room is a chic as it is inviting."
