Cravings By Chrissy Teigen at Target

I don't think anyone who's followed this blog for a while, or maybe even recently stumbled along it, would be surprised to find out how excited I was to find out Chrissy Teigen was working on a follow up to Cravings. I've been steadily cooking my way through it for the last two years much to the enjoyment of everyone I know (at least I think it's enjoyable). But I was not expecting to get an entire cookware and tableware collection with this new cookbook. The second I found out I could only imagine what my credit card balance would look like after just one trip to Target. I haven't even bought the Cravings Hungry for More yet. Forgive me.
According to Target, this collection is effortlessly chic and has soulful vibes. Many of the pieces are made with sturdy, durable stoneware. And it is intended to "create a welcoming atmosphere to all the guests and family you entertain, while making all your prepping, cooking and serving a labor of love." All of the 40+ pieces are basics that come in neutral colors and are affordably priced. Nothing overbearing or shocking. For example, the tableware has an interesting texture and a basic white glaze. It will fit into any kitchen fairly well.

After immediately thinking "I'm going to want everything" before I even saw it, I was pleasantly surprised once I began browsing online. I was especially surprised how much of it fits my style already. Chrissy did not do me dirty. I was a little concerned I would have to force myself to like it or just be disappointed. I am basically obsessed with this cast iron set and the stainless steel cookware with gold handles. Anything that has a little touch of gold is okay in my book. Don't even tell me I don't need a stainless steel wok with a gold handle. I will go out of my way to use it. Same with 3 tidbit bowls on a tray. I can't tell you what I'm gonna do with it, but I'll find something to do with it. That said, I don't love all of it, the plates, cups, and bowls just aren't my thing as much as I love stoneware. Rather than tell you what I don't like, let's just look at what gets my stamp of approval shall we?
The entire collection hits stores and Target.com on Sunday. Just take all my money right now.
