Minimalist and Modern Christmas Decor

I love Christmas as much as the next person, but I don’t feel like my entire house should have to look like the scene of a Hallmark movie. Sure. Christmas towns in Hallmark movies don’t seem that bad. They ARE where all hardworking business ladies fall in love after all, but they just aren’t my thing. Getting festive doesn’t mean having to sacrifice aesthetic.

There is no shortage of minimalist and modern decor ideas out there (Thank you, Scandinavians). What I love most is how clean everything appears to be. There isn’t red and green overkill. There aren’t 6,000 images of Santa and reindeer. It’s chic, it’s simple, and it’s festive. Plus when it comes to be the days and weeks after Christmas, the decorations remain wintery but don’t necessarily scream holiday. That said, I still really do love a nice Christmas tree. I’m not in a rush to a-fix branches directly onto my wall as a replacement. I feel that looks a lot cooler in a photograph then it would in real life.
