I Am Obsessed With Gallery Walls & I'm Not Sorry
A couple weeks ago I shared a post dreaming about having a proper home office. While I have yet to actually create a home office or even begin thinking about implementing a real one, there is one thing I know it has to have. Well, really something my apartment needs in general...a gallery wall. I'm truly obsessed with them which is a little strange for someone who has OCD and prefers everything is neat and orderly. The best gallery walls have a rhyme and reason but you can't see it. What I mean is there was clearly thought put into the exact layout and where each piece of art would go, but you can't tell on the surface. I suppose its really the perfect combination of organized chaos. There are tons and tons of guides on Pinterest with advice and even grid layouts for people to follow. Kudos to those people for making a gallery wall seem even easier (although I will truly still become frustrated about it being perfect). Heck, even Pottery Barn has gallery walls in a box by room and theme! Of course, as seen below, it doesn't always have to be the biggest gallery wall. Even a small one is a subtle but eye-catching design element.
I constantly begin to feel gallery wall envy when I browse websites with, what I consider, perfect interior design. Strangely enough, I've seen a lot of "country-ish" interiors with gallery walls featuring vintage signs and stuff. I'm definitely not a big fan of those. I'm a more modern, simple, and chic type of girl. No matter what, I can always guarantee when I stumble upon a great gallery wall photo, I look over at my lonely little, framed print who I know is just begging for a bunch of friends.
Maybe it's time to finally take on the challenge...but until then here is some major gallery wall inspo (and some prints that have caught my eye!)
