A Summer Style Bucket List of Sorts
I love a good list. They let me brainstorm all the things I need to do, want to do, or just things I need to remember. But there is one list I really love in particular: bucket lists. Bucket Lists always seem to be the one thing I set out to make with only the best intentions only to forget about it down the road. This happens a lot especially when it comes to summer. I quickly set to making a list of things I can't wait to do during the warmer months and then, just as quickly, work consumes my life. This is a different type of bucket list. I've seen tons and tons of bucket lists talking about eating ice cream cones and staying up all night. So I took a different approach. As someone who has a very minimal, classic style I tend to stay in that lane. But why not step out of it for summer? These are some of the trendiest things I've seen around and what I wish I would give a chance over the next month or so.
I always thought straw bags were beach and pool staples, but could never really commit to one. That is until I saw one in the wild at a restaurant at the beginning of summer and my interest was peaked. NEED.

Of all the trends in this mini list, wide leg trousers seem the least like me. Probably because I'm a little concerned how the silhouette will look on me...
Shop: Victoria Beckham, Self Portrait, Zara, Theory, The Row
The last time I ever wore anything yellow was my second semester of college in an English course. We had to play a game where you had to find someone wearing bright colors and learn facts about them. Needless to say, in the winter, my mustard yellow sweater was the brightest thing in the room and I shared way too many facts about myself. But without forced games, I'm sure I can give it a shot...
Shop: Free People, Everlane, L'Agence, Onia Lily, Zara
Forget that quote from You've Got Mail about regretting hats. I love the look of a Panama hat. I really, really want one. Hopefully, it doesn't go the way of my fall wide-brimmed hat...to the back of my closet.
Shop: Janessa Leone, Rag & Bone, Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, Maison Michel
Wide leg trousers are the least like me, but slip dresses are a close second. I love the 90s feel they have to them, and, because they are silk, they keep you cooler on warm days. They are easy to just throw on and go from day to night.
