The Perfect 10

Welcome to another volume of The Perfect 10, a collection of 10 things that have caught my attention and probably overstayed their welcome there.

Bud Chair

Fora Form, a Scandinavian brand, released the Bud Chairs - a “playful alternative to conventional office seats.” These chairs aim to create a seating environment that is comfortable and helps to facilitate collaboration. They offer different leg formations including one with caster wheels, padded seat cushions, and a backrest. They come in a range of finishes including different fabrics and leather upholstery options to match any office environment. I just love how cool these are compared to regular boring office chairs. They offer personality and style, and they don’t feel as restrictive as other options.

Reformation Swimsuits

Reformation took a dip into swimwear back in 2019 with a small drop, but just launched a whole dang collection! There is a larger collection with bikinis and one-piece that are gorgeous and elevated. Their original swimwear was not sustainable enough for Reformation’s liking, so this time they introduced a new non-synthetic fabric EVO by Fulgar, a bio-based fiber combined with Econyl leftovers to combat waste. I absolutely love the vintage feel of these swimsuits and how there is something for every type of style and comfort level. We are starting to round the corner to pool season and these are sure to sell out - if they aren’t already.

Wireless Charging Surfaces

It would be pretty badass to have wireless charging inside countertops. I mean just listen to how cool that sounds in general. Freepower, the designer of Tesla’s wireless charger, showed off this new idea that would “liberate users from having to rely on separate wireless charging accessories” by embedding the charging coils out of view in natural and engineered stone or wood countertops.

A Moody Pasadena Home

This house caught my eye because of its black exterior. Who doesn’t love a nice black exterior in a sea of cookie-cutter homes? This Pasadena home was built in 1959 and is crafted from stone, wood, and glass. The outside is matte black and the inside has an incredible monochromatic look. The home is elevated above the street and has a really nice blend of indoor/outdoor living - perfect for California. What I love most about this home, other than the exterior is how it utilizes and appreciates the original mid-century aesthetics without feeling like a cliche. I am all about homes that embrace their mid-century roots and have modern comforts, rather than tearing it down to the studs and starting over.

Le Anne Marie Shoulder Bag

There is just something about this shoulder bag that I can’t get off my mind. I love the shape and the look. It’s definitely on my wish list.

Glowing Glass Lamps

How gorgeous are these? The Brooklyn-based, Home in Heven, expert glass makers crafting everything from bikini tops to purses, have partnered with Louis Poulsen to create a collection of hand-blown glass lamps. The original Louis Poulsen PH light fixtures were created in the 1950s using cascading aluminum shades that direct light downward. These current fixtures borrow the circular shapes in their design and use pinks and blues to create an ethereal look. I truly can’t get over how playful and eye-catching all of these fixtures are.

IKEA’s Pet Collection

As a dog mom of two, you know I love pet collections of all kinds. Now when it combines one of my favorite things ever, IKEA, you know I’m bound to love it even more. I am honestly in love with so many of these products, yes, even the cat ones. Just look at the adorable cat house?! There are cozy beds, bone-shaped toys, and even bowls. All of the products are easy to clean and likely to fit in with your existing IKEA home favorites. The collection was created with input from pet product experts, veterinarians, and even an adorable panel of cats and dogs. It has everything to help your furry friends eat, sleep, play, and hide.

Horn Headband

We all know Vivienne Westwood brings it again and again. How cool is this headband though? Kinda perfect for the devilish girls like myself. Sadly, it’s sold out now so I should have acted sooner. Cat ears are so 5 minutes ago. Horns or nothing from here on out.

Acrylic Bedside Tables

I saw these on Instagram and hit save almost immediately. I’m obsessed with these freaking tables. They are cool, eye-catching, and truly one of a kind. Carnevale Studio’s created these acrylic tables (coffee table, side table & bedside table) after working with glass and neon lights. They play with light and have subtle variations that give off an ombre effect.

Framery Next Generation Smart Pods

I love the look of these smart pods and how they are intended to revamp office life. They have intelligent lighting and ventilation that adjusts based on occupancy. They are soundproof, but don’t use the typical soundproof solutions - these pods use automotive engineering to break soundproofing down to the level of human speech frequency which mitigates noise and provides the ultimate privacy. They utilized over 8,000 pieces of user feedback from over 10 million sessions of research and development to address four major pain points with their next-generation pods. These pods would have me rethinking my disdain for office spaces.
