Interior Color Therapy: White Bedrooms
When you think of a blank canvas, you think of a white square ready to be painted and decorated. A bedroom is kind of the same. When you initially step into the room you are probably thinking of all the ways you can decorate, paint, and make it your own. White is probably the last color you’re thinking to choose. It feels boring, dull, and truthfully gets dirty pretty easily, right? While that may be true. Using white in the bedroom can actually help to create a serene, calming, and relaxing space which is ideal for a place where you’ll be doing a lot of resting. White also makes small rooms feel much larger which can be a benefit when space is fairly limited. White is a great neutral because it is a framework for nearly every design style from farmhouse to classic and even contemporary which means you’ll have no problem decorating.
I personally love white bedrooms because the decorating ideas are endless. It allows for building on a clean, soft base. White bedrooms have a fresh, energizing feel when needed and can be serene and calm when it’s time to wind down from the day. White gives a lot of options for creating the perfect space with lighting and furnishings. The inspiration I chose below all feature different vibes, but pretty much feature all of the same textures and elements. Right now I am loving the addition of Earthy textures like wood mixing with more modern elements like metal. With white walls adding artwork can add a little extra personality and pop. I think that white bedrooms are eye-catching and chic.
