Where to Go and What to Wear In November

It’s hard to believe the year is almost over and we are heading straight into the quickest part of the year. Luckily, Arizona has finally come around to the nice and tolerable part of the year as well which means plenty more things to do - especially outside. Given that, I’ve put together a handy little guide of things to do and what to wear because sometimes, the outfit is…everything. I am most looking forward to Thanksgiving. It’s a fun and exciting time that, for me, fully ushers in the holiday season. Sorry, but yes, I am an old-school traditionalist. As much as I love the holiday season, it does not begin in July. Last year was a little overwhelming with everything heading back toward normal so I didn’t get to fully enjoy all of the sights and sounds. I’m hoping this year will be a little different.

THANKSGIVING

One of, if not the biggest meals of the year is happening in a matter of weeks. Ever since I can remember we have always dressed up for holidays even if it was in our home. You never know who is going to stop by. Even now whether I’m going home or having people over, a cute outfit is definitely on the agenda.

CANAL CONVERGENCE

Canal Convergence is a yearly event at the Scottsdale Waterfront featuring large public artworks from around the world - and local artists! They are everywhere from pedestrian walkways to bridges all along the canal. It’s an exciting way to get out and enjoy the nice weather.

FALL LEAVES

The fall leaves have finally reached some areas of Arizona. Well, in the places is hasn’t already snowed. I haven’t been up to Sedona in a couple of years to look at the leaves, but it’s one of the best places to spend a weekend in the fall.

PLAYING WITH STARS: ROTRAUT AT THE DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Desert Botanical Garden is an awesome place to spend a few hours when the weather is nice and family is in town. Right now Rotraut’s bold sculptures are a part of the Garden trails and a smaller selection of sculptures and artwork is in the gallery. The artwork explores the energy of seasons and it’s relationship with “the nature of the sky, sun, and universe.”

HOLIDAY SHOPPING

The time has come to begin holiday shopping and if you’re like me even if you online shop, you still want to get out and see the sights and sounds of the bustling holiday season.
