MIX NO. 58 // SPOOKY SEASON

If you’ve read this blog for any amount of time or just know me offline, you know the Halloween mix/playlist is by far my favorite to make. Ever since I was a kid Halloween has been a big deal. It’s just kinda my jam, and there is so much to love about it. So it shouldn’t really be a big surprise that spooky, creepy, and vibey music comes along with the territory. If you’re not listening to a playlist during Spooky Season that would make you jump or scream if someone came into the room, then what are you even doing?

Over the years I’ve made Halloween playlists for Halloween Parties (full of the classics), obscure vintage finds, low-fi creepy hangs, and even one of horror movie scores for fellow horror movie lovers. Sometimes it seems like I could keep remaking the same playlist year after year. This year I was completely stumped about what to do. I just couldn’t skip making one, but I also didn’t want to reuse the exact same things all over again. Then the most obvious idea was staring me right in the face: Let’s just get spooky. It’s always Spooky Season this and Spooky Season that. How could I have missed this one? Enter 2022’s addition to the Halloween Playlist Spook-tacular: Spooky Season.
