Looking Forward: Spring Trends You Should Know About
Spring is just around the corner. On the bright side, it won’t be incredibly cold anymore, but on the other hand, my closet and bank account are probably not going to be very happy. Although I will miss my sweaters and coats, it will be time to find new loves. Luckily, every season comes a whole batch of trends. Some are worth the time and money, and, well, some just aren’t. I stand by my philosophy that there isn’t always a need to embrace trends especially if they aren’t for you but sometimes you find those worth considering. Many of this spring’s trends channel trends I wore back at the dawn of Y2K. Frankly something that is both uncomfortable and yet very interesting.
Even deciding which trends to pay attention to is a bit of a task, so these are a few that have caught my eye on various blogs and articles on the subject.
Relaxed Jeans
Despite what Gen Z says, I’m not entirely willing to get rid of my skinny jeans, but I am open to giving other styles a try. As long as I don:t look as awful as I did in my 8th-grade yearbook photo…
Bubblegum Pink
A pretty, bright, perfect spring color
House Shoes
We haven’t been set free entirely just yet so here’s your excuse to get stylish footwear for inside
Micro Mini Skirts
It might be my love of 60’s pop culture and the movie clueless from a young age, but mini skirts are my favorite kind of skirts.
Polos
One of those Y2K tends I:m unsure about. They do look cute, but are they worth the awkward teen memories?!
Open Back Dresses
A subtly sexy update to the chicest item in the spring wardrobe
Oversized Shirting
Comfortable to wear around the house and still look suitable for virtual meetings? Check and check.
