A New Adventure...Kind Of
Hi there,
If I’m being honest, I wasn’t quite sure I wanted to do this. I have been blogging since the very early days of the internet when really all I did was share my teen angst. Obviously blogging has become an entirely different thing over time, but I kept at it. I guess I see it as a way to be creative and put my stamp on things other people are talking about.
I ran a blog up until about 2015 when I just decided to walk away from it for a few reasons. I chose to focus on school and work instead, but a little while ago I realized I was spending more time being creative for others and less on myself. So I gave it a go again in order to express myself in my way.
I have been running The Nicole Effect pretty quietly for months now pretty much just as the creative exercise it was intended as. But now, I decided to leave my humble Wordpress site behind and add the blog to my new website. Something I was pretty weary of doing to begin with.
The Nicole Effect is a lifestyle blog filled with things I think make life worth living. It’s filled with everything to tasty food to the music I listen to. The blog still has everything you’ve come to know (if you have read it before) and it even has a BRAND NEW shop page. The new shop page has curated collections featuring the holidays and cozy clothes for cold days. Never fear, it still includes everything that has caught my eye lately.
You may be curious about its name. Well, it comes from the widely used phrase the “Meghan Markle Effect” that appears nearly any time she breathes. I found the premise pretty fascinating and so I adapted the name not that I will ever have that large of an impact or be that persuasive (and inspiring).
So, here we have it. A new home for my humble little blog. I hope that you’ll enjoy what you find here. I hope you’ll find something new to try or at the very least learn something new. I try to curate this space with a little something for everyone and you can always contact me with your thoughts (please, always try to be kind).
