What I'm Listening To, Volume 7
Another month has come and gone. Right now I would be in the midst of making a birthday playlist filled with popular songs from times gone by. Usually, 90s music from that reminds me of when I was younger and life didn't seem so hard. I definitely don't feel inspired to make one this year (hello sad funk). But, I figured another installment of What I'm Listening To was in order.
Volume 7 is "April-ish." Meaning everything I was heavily listening to over the last month or so. There's a very heavy indie vibe to this one and features some of my favorite artists. A few of the songs I started revisiting after hanging out at a few of my usual spots around town. They really brought me back to a different time and made me remember how great some albums are. That's why there is a nice 2011 Washed Out track making an appearance. I am in love with the new Father John Misty track although I say this with nearly every FJM track.
Most of the tracks are newer cuts that are, for the most part, under the radar as of now. Which, I'll be honest, makes me like them a little bit more. I used this playlist to soundtrack hours of work. Not to mention as the soundtrack to me enjoying a glass of wine after hours and hours of work.
