ALBUMS OF THE YEAR 2019
I’m really pushing this down to the wire this year. 2019 hasn’t been great in many ways, but at least there was always music to turn to. I think that’s what I love about it so much. It’s always there when things are good and it’s there when things are bad. There is always the perfect song for any mood, feeling, or situation. Music gets me through a lot, and 2019 was no exception.
I know I typically don’t number these Albums of the Year lists and this year really doesn’t have an order either. Okay, that’s not entirely true. The number 1 on this list was my favorite album of the year and even my Spotify Wrapped backed that up with the number of plays (a number I may never admit). I won’t waste any more time. Choose your own adventure, find new things you haven’t listened to, or finally go listen to that one album you’ve been putting off.
Are some of them a little cliche? Maybe. Do they maybe make me, as the kids say, basic? Sure. But I enjoyed them all just the same. Enjoy a playlist of selections from these albums at the very bottom of this post.
