Outfit Inspo: Pretty In Pink
Barbiecore has been around for a while beginning with the iconic Valentino runway show. But since the very first second the Barbie trailer dropped, it’s felt like suddenly this intense love for the color pink was unleashed on the world. Not even just unleashed but it almost felt widely accepted to appreciate and have intense amounts of the color on hand at all times - and on everything. Barbie has allowed and encouraged all of us to just embrace pink, and its vibes, and just have fun with it. I just don’t really see how anyone couldn’t love the bright shades of pink being splashed around everywhere from billboards to outfits. I’m even surprised just how much pink I’ve added to my wardrobe, home, and life in general.
Barbiecore is the trend that just keeps chugging along - thanks in part to the endless marketing budget they seemed to have for collaborations and licensing deals. With all of the aesthetics out there focused on neutrals and patterns, it’s just a little exciting to have one that is filled with energy (and a little bit of drama). Barbie is out there inspiring everyone to be the boldest, extra version of themselves but even if that isn’t your thing, there are plenty of ways to rock pink.
