Styling: Strapless Dresses
Since fashion goes in cycles there is always a time that gets a little too….fresh. Being that I grew up in the 90s, having 90s fashion having its moment again is both odd and bittersweet. Odd in the sense it feels like the 90s were 10 seconds ago but bittersweet because now I’m an adult and I can wear all of the things I was way too young to wear at the time - and it’s entirely acceptable.
One of the 90s fashions’ biggest calling cards has made its way back into popularity. Sleek and chic minimalism is here to stay. Think of the incredible style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who I’ve praised before right here on this blog. One of my personal favorite sleek and chic minimal pieces is the tube dress. It was seen on the runways from Prada to The Row and each designer had their own iteration to showcase. What I personally love about the strapless, or tube, dress is how incredibly chic it is no matter what the length is or how it’s worn. It also happens to be an incredible piece for summer because it can be as casual and no fuss as one wants. The perfect item to just toss on and head out the door.
