Trend Report: Summer Dresses
Dresses are just one of those closet staples that never go out of style. They are one of those pieces that stand the test of time and can be worn many times (in many different ways). Dresses really go the extra mile as far as wardrobe items go. Summer is basically here and warm-weather collections are taking over stores and closets. So it’s time for some upgrades, am I right?
Just as with everything else, seasonal trends happen with dresses. Typically they range from key styles to slight upgrades for classics. This year the styles range from a new take on florals to sultry slip dresses, resort-ready options, and chic updates to the classic little black dress. I love dresses in the summer because they can be worn dressed up with heels or dressed down with a pair of sneakers. I can toss them on to run errands, stop by brunch with friends, or head to a nice dinner. They are a vacation essential because sometimes it’s just a little hard to think of an outfit or put a ton of effort in after a day out in the sun. With so many trends out there, it comes down to personal preference, but here are a few trends I think should be in everyone’s closet this summer.
