My Recent Beauty Empties

If I’m being honest, beauty hasn’t always been my strong suit. I could really never just pull off all the makeup and skincare everyone else would do. And truly, my skin wasn’t always in the greatest shape. But over the past couple of years since putting a greater emphasis on my diet, fitness, and overall wellness, things have changed…significantly. Now on any given night, I have a fairly extensive skincare routine, and I don’t think I’ll ever look back. I love looking and feeling my best not to mention as I get older there are plenty of things I need to be doing to avoid the uncomfortable signs of aging. I really try to keep my beauty products as clean as possible to avoid any unnecessary nonsense, but that isn’t always. the case.

That said, I’ve tried a whole bunch of new products lately and others have become tried and true favorites. Here is what’s recently run on empty in my routine.

Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara

Yves Saint Laurent, $29

I have always been on a quest to find an incredible mascara. I feel like I’ve tried a million drugstore ones and even some fancy ones, but none of them have ever compared to this one. I love how bold and big it makes my lashes, but fair warning, it does take a bit to get off.

Opening Act Lash Primer

tarte, $25

If you’ve ever wondered how I get my eyelashes to be so big and bold, this lash primer is 50% of the equation. My biggest issue with eyelashes is them looking flat and like I don’t have any at all. Who wants to look 100% more tired than they actually are? I’ve tried serums, but truly the only thing that has worked to bring them up and out has been primer.

Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream

Summer Fridays, $42

I have the worst dark eye circles but this eye cream works wonders on them. It makes them look bright and awake. There is a little hint of sparkle to them and I love how it makes the area around my eyes feel. My skin is much firmer and a lot less puffy.

Renewing Body Wash

Being Frenshe, $11

I got this body wash one day on a whim while at Target. I needed more body wash at the time and thought I would change it up from my usual go-to. I love the smell of this particular one. It’s not too strong and it sticks around for a little while which is great. My skin feels luscious and soft too. My target can barely keep this line in stock either so talk about a good recommendation.

Coconut Kisses Nourishing Lip Mask

Give Them Lala Skin, $22

There is nothing quite like a good lip mask. It’s just so much cooler than lip balm or chapstick. I love this one from Give Them Lala Skin lately. It smells incredible, doesn’t go on sloppy and sticky, and makes my lips soft and plump. I put on a good layer at night before I go to bed and by morning I am good to go.

Sheer Skin Tint

Summer Fridays, $42

This skin tint is my daily go-to. It’s so sheer and light which makes it perfect for daily wear. Especially those days when I want to go with the whole no-makeup makeup look. It has buildable coverage so it acts as a really good base. Most importantly to me, I don’t feel like my face is suffocating by the end of the day and begging to have it taken off which happens with foundation and other brands of skin tint.

Peptide Glazing Fluid

Rhode Skin, $29

I freaking LOVE this stuff. It has always been sold out so I have been trying to use it sparingly to make it last, but honestly it’s just so hard not to love it. It goes on smoothly, it’s super hydrating, and it’s not heavy at all. My skin literally soaks it up so quickly. If you want that signature Hailey glazed donut look, you know this is exactly what you need.

No. 14 Conditioning Cream

Lux Unfiltered, $38

As someone who loves to fake tan, it can take a serious toll on your skin. And one main principle of retaining a good tan is staying conditioned and hydrated so the skin doesn’t crack or dry getting rid of the tan. The Lux Unfiltered Conditioning Cream is a godsend. It’s so rich and moisturizing. I love the smell and even when I’m not tan it does wonders on my skin.

Lip Lustre Lip Gloss

Charlotte Tilbury, $25

I used to shy away from lip glosses and lipsticks because I always seemed to have dried, cracked lips. But now thanks to my near-obsessive use of overnight lip masks, I have found a new frontier. I am all about shiny and shimmery lip glosses. They add a little fun and a whole lotta sparkle to my everyday life.
