Monthly Edit 026
I went back and forth about not even doing a Monthly Edit this month. Not because I skipped them from month to month depending on time, resources, etc, but because I was just saying how much I dislike January - and then my dad passed away. Losing my dad a couple of weeks ago was shocking, and unexpected, and made me dislike January even more than I already did. I never try to get super personal here because I want this to be a place that inspires or at the very least is entertaining, but since my name is quite literally the site itself, it feels important to share one of the hardest and most real things I’ve ever gone through.
Everyone who heard has been so incredible, loving, and supportive of not only me but my family. You truly never know how loved you are or how much people truly care until your world comes crashing down around you. I miss my dad every day and trying to navigate the heartbreak and everything that comes along with something like this has been difficult. So I decided to go ahead with the Monthly Edit anyway.
