What I Can't Wait to Wear This Winter

As I sit and write this, the temperature is sinking lower and lower outside. A few mornings in the 30s, and I’m already over it. But since winter is here to stay for a while, it’s time to get into the cozy trends that combat the frigid cold but still make a style statement. Just like with any other season, this winter has plenty of trends to choose from all of which have warmth and sophistication. The must-have pieces that embody comfort and fashion.

My biggest style goal in the winter is to attempt to blend comfort and style seamlessly. It’s all too easy to just toss on a sweater, a pair of jeans, and a nice coat, but the second I do that, I want something more. So while perusing the biggest winter trends I made a list of the ones that caught my eye, which I’ve already added to my closet, and the ones that I moved to the top of the list recently. Here is just a taste of the stuff I can’t wait to wear over the next few months.

Faux Fur

This winter is all about the faux fur. It’s the perfect way to elevate your winter style. Faux fur is plush, and opulent, and adds glamour to your outfit while keeping you warm. Embrace a cruelty-free approach to fashion with faux fur that mimics the luxurious look and feel of the real thing. Whether you're heading to a holiday party or a casual day of shopping, faux fur is a chic and ethical choice that adds a touch of Hollywood glamour to your winter wardrobe.

Kitten Heel Boots

While I love a good stiletto boot, I’m ready to bid farewell to this impractical winter footwear, and welcome the resurgence of kitten heel boots. The kitten heel trend isn’t exactly new and I know I’ve mentioned my love/hate relationship with them before, but these boots combine fashion-forward design with a comfortable heel height. It’s just a win/win really and helps you stay on-trend without sacrificing your comfort. From ankle boots to knee-high styles, kitten heel boots effortlessly complement both casual and formal winter outfits.

Oversized Turtlenecks

The oversized turtleneck has emerged as a winter-style staple, offering both warmth and a touch of drama. Chunky knits in neutral tones or bold colors to make a statement while staying cozy. The oversized turtleneck pairs well with high-waisted jeans or a stylish skirt for a look that effortlessly blends comfort with chic. This versatile piece can be layered or worn on its own, making it a key player in your winter fashion arsenal.

Knit Dresses

Knit midi dresses have become a staple of my fall & winter wardrobe. These dresses combine comfort with an effortlessly chic aesthetic, making them a winter wardrobe essential. The beauty of knit midi dresses lies in their adaptability, allowing you to dress them up or down for various occasions while keeping you snug and stylish. I love wearing mine with knee-high boots for a little extra warmth.

Shearling

When winter's chill sets in, shearling becomes your best friend. It’s honestly one of my favorite materials come winter. I just can’t get enough of it - even in Arizona. Whether adorning a stylish coat or lining the interior of your favorite boots, shearling exudes a luxurious comfort that's hard to match. A shearling coat instantly elevates any outfit, providing both insulation and style.

Fair Isle Sweaters

The Fair Isle Sweater is a winter trend that has grown on me. I can’t lie when I say these sweaters originally reminded me of a type of Christmas sweater, but this year it’s time to embrace their charm. Because they are, well, everywhere pretty much. Originating from the remote Shetland Islands, these sweaters are characterized by their intricate patterns and vibrant colors. Perfect for a casual day out or a cozy night in, Fair Isle sweaters effortlessly blend warmth with style.
