Interior Envy: Oh Christmas Tree
One tradition I have always loved is the Christmas tree. Standing tall with its twinkling lights and an array of ornaments, the Christmas tree is the centerpiece of many homes during this festive time. Just like for many families across the world, decorating the Christmas tree is a cherished ritual. Each ornament tells a story and holds sentimental value. Whether they are heirloom baubles passed down through generations or handmade crafts from when we were younger, adorning the tree brings together tradition, creativity, and family. There is just something so magical about the Christmas tree and how it creates a warm ambiance even on the coldest nights.
These days there are a ton of different trees to choose from and even some alternative options that have risen in popularity as homeowners look for new ways to celebrate the season. Many of these alternatives are not only a refreshing twist on the traditional tree but are huge space savers. Trust me, I love a huge tree (real or fake), but living in a small apartment, there really isn’t room to go 100, so I utilize a lot of smaller mini trees spread throughout the space.
This kind of unconventional approach along with branches and even thin LED trees serve as delightful alternatives. Even my small little trees are decorated with mini ornaments, serving as charming little decorations that spread the holiday cheer no matter where I go. That said, I always love looking at Christmas trees and getting inspired. I also can’t wait until I can bring all of my tree-decorating ideas to life. I am truly envious of everyone showing off their tinsel-covered trees on Instagram this year - even if I think tinsel is a true nightmare…glitter adjacent if you will.
The Christmas tree, in all its forms, embodies the spirit of the season – a symbol of joy, unity, and tradition. Whether traditional or contemporary, the essence remains: a beacon of light and hope during this magical time of year.
