5 Fall Trends to Know About Right Now

We are heading quickly into the unofficial last weekend of summer. I literally have no clue how time flew by so quickly and we got here, but it’s time to start thinking about fall trends. Now knowing it’s going to be at least 90 to 100+ degrees every day for the next few months still makes it a little hard to get into fall mode. But the second I saw that Spirit Halloween sign go up on the empty, abandoned bookstore, I knew it was (almost) go time. Every season there are tons and tons of trends to choose from. Some just aren’t for everyone and well, it’s probably impossible to try to embrace all of them even if you wanted to. So I picked a couple that have caught my eye and I can see myself embracing in the coming months.

What I like most about these trends is they aren’t exactly new. The trends in this post have either been around this summer or have been around before but just get serious upgrades for this season.

BARBIE PINK

By now everyone has heard of or at least started embracing Barbiecore. This new life of hot pink has been seen on runways, storefronts, and Instagram feeds everywhere. It’s vibrant and fun, and I’m pretty obsessed with it. It seems like the total opposite vibe of fall or winter, however that is kind of what makes it fun. A bright spot in the darker months if you will. It is one fall trend that you should embrace ASAP.

MOTO BOOTS

Moto boots are back in a big way. They are at the forefront of the ‘bikercore’ trend, but I think they completely spice up fall’s go-to footwear: boots. They just look so cool with their textures and buckles. And while they aren’t necessarily a new trend, this year everyone will be pairing them with more feminine looking silhouettes like skirts.

DRAMATIC LEATHER

Keeping with the bikercore trend, leather is getting dramatic this year. Sure, you could just rock any leather jacket, but why would you when there are oversized ones and others with gorgeous touches like faux fur? I know exactly what I’ve hit add to cart on this season!

MAXI HEMLINES

For a couple seasons now been all about Y2K and the micro-mini, but for this fall we are talking it long with maxi hemlines. Maxi skirts were big for a while back in the early oughts so it’s still not really that surprising they are big this fall. I personally love maxi hemlines because they accentuate the body and make it look longer. They are also incredibly chic.

BOMBER JACKETS

I wont lie. Bomber jackets never really went out of my style rotation. They are, after all, perfect for throwing on over my activewear on cold mornings when I head to the gym. However, this fall they are back and bigger than ever. Just like with leather, the more dramatic the better.
