Trend Report: Pink & Green
Every season there are a few colors that completely dominate the runways not to mention Instagram. Right now, and this season, there are two colors that I can’t get enough of Pink and Green. Of course, they are perfect for warm weather and especially spring colors, but they are eye-catching and versatile. No matter what your style you can wear these two colors because of the variety of good-looking shades. From incredibly bold fuchsia to hints of light pink and the same goes for green. Even for someone like me who practically lives in a wardrobe that lacks colors, there are options. I have added a few pink and green pieces as of late including a cardigan, a linen midi dress, and even button-ups. Even if you’re not willing to toss these colors right into your wardrobe, they make awesome accessories colors from bags to shoes and even swimwear.
So here are a few of my picks for adding pink and green to your wardrobe this spring & summer.
PINK
When Pantone introduced their color of the year they chose a much more subtle calming color, but right out of left field pink - especially hot pink.- became the hottest color around. With good reason. It’s a color that is impossible to ignore and breaks up even the most minimalistic of looks. Pink made its return on the runways from Versace to Dior, Alexander McQueen to Valentino. A color that was once synonymous with Barbie is this year’s answer to millennial pink and one you should have in your wardrobe.

GREEN
Green has been having a moment and we can all likely thank Bottega Veneta for that. Of course, just with any other color, different shade trends come and go. Lime green is a current favorite of nearly everyone in my social feeds. I personally lean towards a kelly or emerald green, but maybe that’s because Emerald is my birthstone and I’m just drawn to it as a power color. I don’t know. But Lime Green is bold, bright, and fun while other colors can be flirty.
