Sh*t I Want: Holiday Decor

As an adult, I give major props to all adults decorating for the holidays. If you’re one of those Pinterest moms who had their house decked out to the 9s since November 1st, good on you. If you’re like me and just struggling to even get up the tiniest of trees, good on you too. The struggle is real. When I was a kid, decorating for the holidays was a full family affair. Boys outside, girls inside, and by the time the Thanksgiving leftovers were done reheating, the house looked like Clark Griswold’s dream. I still really love doing it now, but I have to be in a serious holiday mood.

That doesn’t stop me from browsing the aisles at Target, popping into my other favorite shops, and browsing online for the best decorations of the year. I love holiday decorations because they are shiny, and bright, and some of them even remind me of the decorations we had when I was small. My perfect holiday combination is more modern with little touches of kitschy traditionalism. As you can probably tell from the MASSIVE collection I’ve put together below. It’s never too late to add a new holiday favorite to the collection, right?
