Interior Study: Dining Rooms
It feels kinda odd to be doing an Interior Study/Interior Envy about dining rooms. I mean, what am I? 60? Truth be told, the holidays always bring me back to the memories I have from when I was younger - many of which actually took place in the, you guessed it, dining room. When I saw this gorgeous dining room in AD, I just felt like it would be a good topic.
The holidays are all about entertaining. For my fairly large Italian family, the dining room was a place we spent a lot of time whether it was making homemade pasta for Christmas Eve or playing games. Seriously…the games of Monopoly no one ever truly won…I remember the incredible mid-century modern wood dining table and chairs my great-grandparents owned. A piece I wish I was able to save to call my own one day. I think it really shaped my idea of what a dining area should be. It should have a sturdy table that seats many, a clean and simple color scheme, and comfortable chairs that welcome guests not to mention keep them sitting for a while. It’s not really a surprise I’m all about modern and contemporary vibes so all of these rooms no doubt caught my eye. I would use them as design inspiration any day of the week.
