The Friday Five 02

Hi friends! I have returned from my exploring Spooky Season in New Orleans and celebrating two great friends at their wedding. I do feel sad I didn’t get to hit publish on all my content before then, but I will get to it! Having a little grace with myself is one of my newer goals and while it’s a struggle sometimes, it’s going. I thought I would go with something fun and kinda simple for Friday…the Friday Five. It’s one of my favorite features on a design centric website, and I have adapted it to be more about things that catch my eye right now. I tend to flit and float to so many different things so this is where I capture them. Enjoy some of my favorite style and design finds, and even a necessary tummy aid!

Jacquemus Store at Selfridges in London

When I saw these photos I was instantly obsessed. I love everything about it from the color to the texture and the shapes. At this store, the tables, shelves, etc are made from ‘terracruda.’ Applied by hand, the material adds extra texture and creates a homey feel. I also love how the products are displayed throughout the store. There is just a less stuffy, more welcoming, and inviting feel to the shop. And I just cannot get enough of that shaped mirror. GAH!

Asymmetric Zip-Detailed Leather Midi Skirt

Uh hello. Just look at this gorgeous skirt. Everything about it is just incredible. I love this whole outfit really. It’s an absolute dream. I am honestly not surprised it is low in stock. It was originally paired on the fall ‘22 runway with a biker jacket bringing the whole moto trend to the next level. I love how it combines the midi, leather and moto trends into one perfect and slightly sexy piece.

Alexander McQueen, $4,990

Emma Chamberlain’s Los Angeles Home

Not only does Emma Chamberlain have incredible style, but her home is just as stylish. It’s chill, laid back, and I love how it melts together different styles of design and eras. The home was originally built in 1955 and is a hybrid of different California design styles. Her dressing room with the Ettore Sottsass mirror is to die for. There are so many textures, vibes, and things to look at in this home.

Lemon, Ginger & Manuka Honey Tea

I’ve had quite the stomach bug the last couple of weeks and the only thing that seemed to help was lemon and ginger tea. I tried a few and this one was by far my favorite. It has a good flavor and isn’t too ginger-forward which I loved. It goes down smoothly and is perfectly warm and cozy for fall.

Pukka, $5

The Embrace Sideboard

Just look at this sideboard! How can you not be in awe of it? When I saw it featured on Design Milk, I just couldn’t get enough. It was so thoughtfully designed and has the most perfect curves. There are tons of features that allow the piece to be functional in addition to being eye-catching. The design features a minimal style but also has smart storage and even cord management solutions. There are drawers and shelves to meet nearly any organizational need. The way it’s styled in all of the photos just makes it all that much more appealing.
