A Hazy Shade of Winter

First off, Happy New Year, dear readers! I welcome you to the very first post of 2022, and it’s a whole mood. I am hopeful this year will be better for not only you but myself as well. Although I remain cautiously optimistic because I feel like I say that every year and…well, not everything turns out great - but that’s life, right?

Anyway, I feel as though I just sat here writing about how winter flies by in a flash around here in the desert. Then a winter storm happens and I have been blessed with temperatures in the 30s! Something which I found fun for around 5 minutes. That said, there is something I love about winter. It might not be the extremely chilly temperatures, but there is just something great about hibernating. I love enjoying time wrapped up in my heated blanket, enjoying a nice movie, and listening to music while getting creative on this here site. Of course, mulled wine and rain come by to visit sometimes too which doesn’t hurt. This stretch of chilly temperatures is sticking around for a bit, so I’ll be enjoying my mulled wine while streaming The French Dispatch which I haven’t gotten to see yet!
