4 Things You Need for Fall

I’ve been saving fall clothes I want to buy in my bookmarks for nearly a month now. But I am constantly stuck in the struggle of deciding do I buy new clothes with little to nowhere to go or do I just keep lusting after them. Something in my gut tells me in about a month I’ll have a little less room in my closet, but who knows really. Either way I’m considering this my mini shopping list for fall, and, obviously, you should too.

Boots

I can’t tell you how excited I am to not wear sandals anymore. Getting a pedicure has been a real no go so not having to worry about showing my feet off all the time will be a real blessing. Boots are a closet staple in general, but I try to have one go-to black pair, a brown pair to just break up the monotony, and an over the knee pair for stepping up my outfit game. This is likely already on your list and it’s certainly on mine after I ruined my go-to boots in a puddle earlier this year.

Sweater Dress

I’m no stranger to the oversized sweater which I do have conflicting feelings about. But I’m new to the whole sweater dress game. I’m all for sweaters so why not step it up a little bit? I like the appeal of a sweater dress. Style and function together. They just look good and I’m sure they are fairly comfortable and warm. There are also just so many to choose from so finding one that is the right style won’t be difficult.

Trench Coat

Arizona doesn’t really hit “coat” weather until like…December. Even when it’s considered chilly a regular jacket is relatively sufficient for keeping warm. So I’ve never owned a trench coat despite loving them purely on looks. I’m sure they serve an excellent function alongside looking great, and I’m feeling like I most definitely need one in my closet. For you know…the hour I leave my house to hit up the farmer’s market in the coming months?

Crewneck Sweater

Duh. Sweaters are essential. They are comfortable and warm. They can be dressed up or down. They are stylish no matter what. And if you’re anything like me, by the time spring rolls around you’ll have a closet filled with new sweaters. I already have a bit of a list of what I’m on the hunt for.
