1 Item, 3 Ways: Basic White Tee
1 Item, 3 Ways is going back to basics today with a simple cotton tee. I have a love/hate relationship with simple white t-shirts. While I love how easy they are to put on with nearly anything and how comfortable they can be. This is why they are a wardrobe staple and a classic. They can be dressed up or casual and no matter how you wear them you can still feel chic.
That said, I know it’s just a matter of time before my stylish, dependable closet basic succumb to unsightly discoloring in the armpits because of the aluminum in many deodorants. Yeah, yeah all natural deodorants are the way to go. I’ve heard it before, and I’m not entirely willing to visit that town just yet. But I digress. With the dog days of summer being in full effect, in all places in the world, you honestly can’t go wrong with a crisp white tee.
White is beneficial in the summer because it doesn’t absorb the sun’s heat as much as say black or other colors. White is also bright, fresh, and makes you appear more tan in some instances. I genuinely enjoy being able to toss on a white tee on a warm (understatement) day and knowing that I don’t have to worry about being uncomfortable. It makes getting dressed nearly effortless at that point.
I don’t really think i need to sell anyone on the pros of owning a trusty, go-to, perfectly broken in white tee. And, well, if you don’t have one…I’m not really sure what you’re doing with your life.
