Whether you like it or not, summer is here and that typically means having to, at some point, wear a swimsuit. Something I can’t help but cringe at. Sorry, I’m not all body positive and all about wearing a swimsuit in public situations. Will I do it? Of course. Will I feel uncomfortable most of the time? Most likely. But that said, it’s much better than wearing a snowsuit in the summer so here we are.

If you’re jetsetting around to tropical locales or just hitting up local pools, you’ll want to look stylish AF. So here is the swimsuit guide. Filled with great options in fairly flattering types that are also stylish.

High-Waisted

High-waisted swimsuits have a vintage vibe that can also boost your self-confidence. They show off your best assets or can simply hide things you don’t love. Solid colors provide a streamlined look while prints can liven up your summer look.

String Bikini

The string bikini is what defined the bikini in the first place. It’s a little sexy and shows off plenty of skin. You can swim in them or relax and soak up some valuable vitamin D in them. Whatever you choose, they are a classic option that is tried and true. Especially on days when you’re feeling yourself.

The One Piece

If you’re lucky enough not to have an oddly shaped torso, a one piece can go a long way. They have changed quite a bit over time and now have lots of different styles. You can get cutouts and deep plunges for showing off a little more skin. There are belted options for a more chic look. Whatever type you choose, they are pretty versatile. They go from pool to bodysuit in a flash making them perfect for day to night.
