Stylish Ways to Spend Your Tax Refund

A simple Google search will yield thousands of results telling you how to spend your tax refund. There's plenty of realistic, responsible advice like investing the money for later on in life. There's also starting that fixer upper project you've been putting off. Then there are the fun ideas like taking a vacation to a place you've never been before. Of course,  I have a different idea: update my closet. With wardrobe updating in mind, I made two categories: Investment Buys and Affordable Favorites.

First, the (mostly) pricey investment buys. It's a completely different investment than the smart, financial institutions would recommend. Investment buys should be chic staples that last awhile. I don't think investing in trendy pieces that are here today gone tomorrow. These are the dream pieces any closet would wish for.

Next are the affordable favorites. Affordable favorites have a few perks. First, they are under $100 so even if the refund isn't huge, there's still a chance to indulge. Second, being fiscally responsible can still pay off. Choosing a more affordable update can still allow for investing in other things, doing update projects, or simply paying off bills. It's a win/win.
