I Tried It: Hydration Shots

Before anyone freaks out, by hydration shots I don't mean actual shots (needle or alcohol). I'm not a big needle fan (despite the few tattoos I have), and well, alcohol shots are basically the opposite. Juice shots are kinda the trendiest thing in wellness right now. They are pretty on par with apple cider vinegar and coconut oil. There's also one for pretty much any ailment in the world. Being from the desert it's incredibly easy to get dehydrated. Don't drink water for an hour and suddenly it's a crisis. Okay maybe not an hour...you get the idea.

One of my favorite bloggers, Geri from Because I'm Addicted, posted this recipe for hydration shots on her blog as kind of a coachell-aide. I posted this particular recipe in the monthly edit. I thought I would give it a try since her turmeric shots actually prevented me from catching bronchitis going around the office. The shot is supposed to give 3x the hydration from a glass of water and contains electrolytes from coconut water. Now I'm not a health expert but I'm completely buying that.

Bottom line: the shot tastes great, stays good in an air tight mason jar in my fridge, and is beginning to be a staple of my morning routine.
