1 Item, 3 Ways: PLEATED SKIRT

I think countless times on this blog I’ve mentioned my incredibly monochrome wardrobe. Even when I did a closet clean out and bought my adult hangers, I was still taken back by the shear amount of black, white, and grey featured in my closet. To be fair, there are a few colors sprawled here and there but nothing compared to this. Okay, maybe that’s not entirely fair, but I digress. I spend quite a bit of time visiting clients and that requires looking put together. No matter what. Don’t get me wrong, my Sweatpants Friday is a ~lewk but not necessarily one that will impress. That said, I decided to take the plunge and add a bit of daring color to my closet with a pleated skirt. Not just any pleated skirt, but a blush pink one. Trust me. I sat around considering a more sensible color but decided, while it looks like Frenchie’s Easter egg hair, it was worth going for. I added it to my cart and 5 days later it was delivered to my mailbox.

I must admit I would much prefer a black one. Not simply because it’s more of my “thing” but because I wouldn’t have to contend with a thin skirt you can see through on a sunny day. That said, I’m still glad I got this blush pink skirt. It is nice shade of pink, perfectly spring and just looks so pretty. I really love pairing it with white tops because it looks more delicate but still dressy.
