MIX NO. 22 // Rainy Winter Days

I love a rainy day. It just seems to fit my personality and mood more than a bright, sunny day. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good sunny day too…just as long as it isn’t over 90 degrees. There is something I just love about sitting and listening to the rain come down. Winter rainy days to me are pretty enjoyable. They give me a reason to bundle up and stay indoors. To enjoy my coffee, make homemade soup, and zone out. Of course, just like anything else, sometimes music is involved.

I put together this playlist pretty quickly during one of the wettest, coldest days we’ve had in a long time. It literally hailed tiny ice beads in front of my eyes. I could see my breath all day and my car was covered in ice on more than one occasion. I had started the makings of a winter playlist, but never finished it. Not to mention I had an overall feel and mood in mind. This was my soundtrack to making homemade soup through the afternoon and early evening. That’s why it ended up being a collection of indie gems and a few classics I couldn’t refuse just tossed in. It’s rainy day tested and approved.
