What I’m Wearing This Summer

Summer is in full swing, and as we slide into August, I’m been rotating through some key pieces. These pieces are not only perfect for the warm (and sometimes gross) weather, but they also make me feel effortlessly chic. Summer can be a real struggle when it comes to putting together an outfit. Some days it’s just so hot, who the hell cares? That is where these pieces come in. They are all comfortable, versatile, and perfect for the days where one wants to capture that summer feeling without the added struggle. Let’s dive in to my summer 2024 wardrobe staples!

Crochet

Crochet is literally the fabric of the summer. I’m obsessed with how it looks and feels. From cute tops to dresses, crochet is my go-to when I want a laid-back yet stylish look. I don’t even know how many new crochet pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe this summer, but I’ll grab a crochet tank top with high-waisted jean shorts for a casual day out or a mini dress with strappy sandals for grabbing happy hour cocktails.

Timeless Dresses

I am a firm believer that every woman needs a couple timeless dresses in her wardrobe - especially for summer.. Whether it’s a flowy maxi dress on a beach day or a fitted midi dress for a dinner date, dresses easily transition from day to night. I love tossing them on to run errands or meeting up for dinner. The key to a timeless summer dress are the fresh summer colors - if you’re daring enough.

Woven Bags

Raffia bags are a summer essential. The natural texture adds a little something extra to a chic look and many of them are pretty spacious. As a woman, spaciousness is key when it comes to summer bags. Raffia bags can complement laid-back vibes of casual summer outfits and go from street to beach with ease. I love how many different options there are so no matter what the outfit or occasion, there is probably going to be a bag to meet the mark.

Minimalist Sandals

Less is more when it comes to summer footwear. Who wants to deal with difficult hardware on days when it’s 110+? Most days I’ll ditch sneakers for a simple pair of leather slides or strappy sandals. They are comfortable, stylish, and honestly fit every vibe or summer activity. I love how easily I can grab any pair at random and know that my look is still going to be pulled together. Plus, your feet will be thanking you at the end of the day.

Relaxed Matching Sets

Matching sets are having a moment, and I’m 100% on board. They are the easiest way to put together an outfit without even trying. The breathable fabrics make them summer ready no matter if they are simple or patterned. Matching sets are perfect for everything from brunches to casual evenings out and of course, vacations. Just add some chic accessories and you’re good to go. I won’t lie, matching sets are my most commonly worn outfits at home because they are casual, relaxed, and still look cute.
