12 Beach Clubs I Want to Visit

Honestly, summer is almost over - technically anyway - and I won’t lie, I’ve already started thinking about where I want to go next time summer rolls around. My Instagram and magazine feeds have been filled with tons of beachside hangouts that all looked so inviting. The blue water, the natural materials, the bright colors adorning the sitting areas. Everything about it says turn the music up, grab a cocktail, and enjoy the sunshine. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy the day on picture-perfect sands? Luckily no matter what your beach style there is a beach club just waiting to be enjoyed from sun up to sun down. Here are 12 I bookmarked in record time.

Six Senses, Ibiza

We all know Ibiza has a reputation for being a party hotspot, but lately, it’s being appreciated more and more for its laidback vibes. Six Senses is located on the island’s northern tip just near the bay of Cala Xarraca which means it has both restorative vibes along with being a dynamic hot spot. The Beach Caves at the hotel manages to bring together live music, wellness, and dining with their extensive calendar of cultural events. There are local and globally known DJs, art, and drinks to help you enjoy the Ibizan sunset.

La Caseta, Barcelona

La Caseta is the seafront restaurant at Soho House’s Little Beach House. It is perfectly positioned on Garraf beach and you don’t even have to be a member to visit the restaurant. The design is inspired by the 1920s Les Casetes beach houses that were strewn about Garraf and were unique to the area! The menu boasts plenty of local cuisines and produce sourced from local farms. Their events include tastings, live music, yoga, meditation, and more. La Caseta has pretty much everything you could want for a day beside the sea.

Beach Rouge, Mauritius

The red of this beach club instantly caught my eye. Beach Rouge is located at the LUX Resorts and Hotels flagship property and is a signature concept. It was designed and inspired by the red tint that lights up the club at sunset. There is a resident DJ who plays the club and it is still a serene spot for swimming as it is right near the water’s edge. They serve a fresh and well-thought-out menu day to night that is locally sourced.

Republiek Bloemdaal, The Netherlands

When you hear The Netherlands, beach club might not be the first thing that comes to mind. But, Bloemdaal is becoming a very interesting hotspot even if it is one of the most affluent areas of the Netherlands. It used to be only open during the summers, but it has recently become a permanent space. It recently underwent a renovation and offers 16ft windows that give incredible views of the North Sea. It is decorated with sandy fabrics and walls. It is a very cool find that happens to be on a shoreline that is very low-key and used to be a place for locals and those who were in the know about its existence.

Palazzo Avino Ravello, Amalfi Coast

The Palazzo Avino is the only hotel in Ravello that has it’s very on beach club, Clubhouse By The Sea. And boy does it look cool. The Clubhouse is a private villa with various platforms alongside a plunge pool. There is another terrace with a restaurant overlooking the Amalfi Coastline and serves woodfired pizzas and fish. There are no DJs or over the top special features. This beach club is all about minimalism, privacy, and just enjoying the deep blue sea.

Le Sereno Al Mar, St. Barth’s

At the Le Sereno hotel, there is a pale-blonde wood structure designed by Christian Liagre that is removed from the more raucous spots of the island. It is a marine reserve and has tons of natural beauty from turtles to colored coral and everything in between. The Al Mar restaurant is a place where Italian feasts can be found on a distinctly French outpost. Here you’ll find Tuscan wines and plenty of gorgeous patrons in multi-colored dresses. It is a place to enjoy the good life in a slow laidback island manner. The food is the latest and greatest but not too heavy and I hear the best bit is the staff is exclusively Italian and converse in their native language.

Gitano Beach, Tulum

I know, I know Tulum is overdone. But when Gitano opened it really kicked off the Tulum party scene and Gitano Beach is its new coastal counterpart. It is located within the Mayan ruins on a private cove with white sand and gorgeous turquoise water. The scenery and design are meant to be rustic and unkempt. The vibes are a mixture of world music meets disco but is apparently much more chill than Gitano. There is a menu with Mexican cuisine helmed by Alexandros Gkoutski and features local ingredients and a hint of Mediterranean twist.

Ftelia Pacha, Mykonos

Ftelia is believed to be an ancient settlement but these days it is the latest addition to the Mykonos northern shore. It’s an open beach experience that blends incredible music with amazing food in a gorgeous beach setting. This beach club was taken over and given a new life by bringing a little bit of Ibiza to Mykonos. Each summer there is a lineup of global DJs playing in a lounge area perfect for sunbathing. There is an all-day dining restaurant, two bars, and plenty of fresh seafood - if that’s your thing.

Marina Beach Club, Valencia

For the longest time, this area was a commercial port. That is until the Formula One races came and now the shoreline is dotted with parasols. The landscape has been changed significantly. The Marina Beach Club was designed, like many of the others, with neutral shades to allow the scenery to really shine. There is a restaurant, lounge bar, beach bar complete with hammocks, and a stage completing the outdoor club scene. The cocktails look pretty damn good and I bet with the music and vibes, it’s a place worth staying all day long.

MISTURA, TULUM

Mistura is an open-air beach club covered with bright colors and patterns. There are hammocks and great views of the beach. It is the perfect addition to the now fairly competitive landscape of the area. The food is a mixture of Peruvian and Japanese but utilizes Mexican ingredients. Against the white and navy stripes are accent colors of red and even some palm-print tile tables - talk about the most on-brand place for me to enjoy a margarita.

Atzaro Beach, Ibiza

With plenty of clubs and places to visit in Ibiza, Atzaro Beach is setting itself apart with 70s vibes - which is perfect since that is when Ibiza began to make a name for itself. This spot definitely revisits the island’s roots relying more on rustic touches and an easygoing aesthetic that blends in perfectly. There are straw umbrellas, swinging bamboo seats, and fishing boats that nod to the fishing heritage of the island. They serve delicious Buddha Bowls and Mediterranean plates to be enjoyed on supersized daybeds in the sand.

aSSAONA, Mallorca

Plenty of the places in Mallorca have more of a champagne, flashy kind of vibe, but from what I read, Assaona is a little more laid back. There are rough-cut wooden tables and oversized basket lights. It is located on a sandy beach with plenty of sights to see. The linen-clad waiters serve local seafood in a low-key destination that is quite the break from the booming music areas of the island.
