Trend Report: Tennis Chic

It seems like every month there is a new something “core” aesthetic. But one that hasn’t really gone anywhere and has been having it’s moment for a bit now is Tenniscore. This athleisure trend is a mixture of preppy mixed with a little vintage feel. It seems like this is one trend nearly everyone is sporting and more and more brands (and designers) are taking part. The Tenniscore style is made up of mini skirts, sweaters, loafers, and perfectly marries sports and fashion.

What I think is cool about the Tennis trend is that there are kind of a few different ways to go as far as style. To me, tennis has this inherently 80s preppy feel to it which really lends itself well to a more vintage inspired Rowing Blazers type of look whereas a more modern look would be more sophisticated, clean, and chic. Another thing I love about this trend is not only does it look so cute and stylish, but there are many ways to embrace it without diving in head first. With so many different brands having tennis accessories, pleated skirts, and tennis dresses, adding one into the rotation is no big feat. Plus it will get a lot of wear during the summer months! Tenniscore, or whatever you want to call it, is something fans of Quiet Luxury will absolutely love if they aren’t already channeling this as part of their old-money style.

When shopping, it doesn’t get much easier than white, tennis dresses, flirty matching sets, and, of course, a sweater to casually drape over your shoulders.
