Interior Color Therapy: Red Hot
I remember back in the day watching home renovation shows and reading teen magazines about painting walls with a splash of color. A statement wall was a BIG deal and a new idea taking over. Every teen magazine had some kind of article about what the color you chose said about you, and I remember just wishing I was allowed to have a really cool statement wall in my room. Instead of the alternative - a million different posters against a plain white canvas. When it came to color, there was always something negative to be said about the color red, but I tend to disagree.
Choosing red for paint whether as an accent or a main color is bold. It’s certainly not for the faint of heart. There are tons of different shades of red to choose from and none of them are boring - at all. Red can make rooms feel intimate or even change the dimensions of the room visually. Red is associated with love but it can also be associated with anger - one of those negative comments I mentioned before. To me, red can be playful, and dramatic, and complement so many other colors and textures. Whether you take things to 100 with red everything or just add a few simple accent pieces or colors to your wall, red is can be a great choice.
