Styling: Leggings
Leggings have become a wardrobe essential right alongside blue jeans and white tees. They can be worn in a ton of different ways and places. Of course, the gym, lounging at home, and running errands are some of the easiest and most common places to wear leggings, but their versatility and, not to mention, a wide range of styles these days have made them a really good alternative to jeans. Now, I must admit not all leggings are created equal. Not every pair is meant to be for the gym or to be worn in place of jeans so it’s really important to look at the material to determine just how much you might be showing. The ideal middle ground is a really good black pair that can elevate your style. I’m talking leggings with slits, flares, stirrups, zips, and even faux leather. A pair of leggings that can stand in for black trousers and make your other wardrobe essentials look great.
I love a good pair of leggings while working from home for a couple of reasons. First, there is a comfort factor that is a bit different than a super comfy pair of sweats. I can feel comfortable without feeling like I’m ready to just go take a nap. Second, I can wear just about any top, sweater, jacket, etc and feel put together enough for a virtual meeting or any errand I have to run real quick. Okay, or an #ootd on the ‘gram. I’m not sure I really need to sell any woman on the joys of leggings so take a look at some inspo and a few ways I style leggings lately.
