It's Time for a Lingerie Drawer Refresh

While organizing recently I realized I can’t remember the last time I cleaned out my intimates drawer. Ugh, that kinda makes it way more creepy but I tried to write that opening line multiple times now so we are just gonna go with it. This is honestly the one area I fail to purge and yet just keep adding to. When a sale on panties pops up or I spy a cute pajama set I can’t live without, I scoop it right up without even considering the existing items in my drawers. The more the merrier right? Not exactly. The last time I moved, which was pre-pandemic, I realized I had so many bras and other unmentionables that were just too big, not my style, or I just didn’t need them anymore. It’s probably time to give these drawers another sweep.

When it comes to cleaning out a closet or in this case drawers filled to the brim with necessary items, a little bit of tough love is in order. Why? There may be a natural attraction to certain items. They may have made you feel incredible or have an amazing memory attached, but if they aren’t wearable anymore, you don’t really need to keep them around. Easier said than done, I know. Going through and being realistic about these items will save you a huge headache. Old period panties? Maybe take the chance to toss them away and grab some real-period panties, if you’re daring enough (I’m not). Are bras too big or too small? Donate them to women’s organizations or special nonprofits that recycle bras for women in need. Take this opportunity to get rid of ratty old t-shirts and get silky, chic, and sexy pajamas that make you feel like a million bucks. Not sure where to start? Here are 9 things every lingerie drawer needs whether it’s for everyday wear or special occasions.
