1 Item, 3 Ways: Denim Jacket
Ah, the humble denim jacket. A closet staple that gets plenty of wear, especially during the transitional seasons of the year. Just like a good pair of jeans, denim jackets don’t really ever go out of style. They can be paired with just about everything from dresses to a simple white tee, and, if you’re daring, even a pair of jeans (hello double denim!). A denim jacket is a closet staple because it can be casual or dressy and serves as a chic but simple layering piece when you need one.
Denim jackets are made of sturdy fabric that is often indigo or blue in color but can also be white and even black. Of course, the latter isn’t as popular as the iconic indigo shades. You can wear them any season, with nearly any outfit, and with confidence that you’ll have your trusty jacket for years to come. A few years ago I picked up a fantastic denim jacket that has seen me through some interesting times in life and that I even started customizing with patches and buttons. That is what makes them so fun. I love wearing mine when I need a light jacket (like in the mornings to the gym) or when my outfit is just missing something.
If you’re like me, you probably have a trusty denim jacket, but if you don’t, here are a few ways I love to wear m denim jacket right now and a few of my picks.
