MIX NO. 45 // L.A. WOMAN
Long time no talk, blog. And my big return comes with a new Monthly Mix! Although I will admit, this is very likely a very niche mix, but aren’t they all in a way? Mix No. 45 is all about one of my favorite places on the planet: Los Angeles. It was inspired by all of the beautiful pictures of LA in my IG feed from California residents, an influx of Dodgers posts by family members, and just my overwhelming feeling like I need a damn vacation. Doesn’t everyone though? Oh and maybe even the sudden surge of “Don’t California my Arizona” bumper stickers.
Los Angeles really is my second home and I miss going to California whether it’s to visit family members, go to the beach, or head further down south to the Mouse House. This playlist probably started out being about 4 hours (Who knows that many songs about/related to LA?) but as I narrowed it down a bit since no really cares about it but me, I realized I could even further niche this already niche playlist. A whole series if you will. Maybe I will just for my own entertainment?
This love letter to LA/California features the classics you’ve heard a million times and is mixed with some deep cuts and many of my own favorites. A pretty good blend if I do say so myself. It’s a bit of a long tracklist, but I’m including it because why not?
