Let's Decorate for the Holidays!

I always get annoyed with how early Christmas & holiday decorations start hitting websites and store shelves. Every year the length of time Halloween exists at Target gets shorter and shorter. You know what I mean, you hit up the shops in September and by October 20th, there are roughly two aisles left while everything around it slowly becomes the brightest shade of red. That said the second my local Target got any holiday decorations, a couple of days later they were nearly gone. I don’t know if it’s just the excitement of the season or the dreaded social media posts that lead everything to sell out.

Regardless of the cause, I have always lived by my mom’s shopping philosophy - Get it when you see it because it might not be there when you go back. So you can bet I’ve ended up with a couple of new decorations this year. I’ve grabbed a couple of flocked trees, some candles, and even an ornament I’ve turned into a tree topper for my baby bedroom tree. My holiday design aesthetic falls between modern and has a few classic touches that have been passed down through our family. I dream of the day where I’ll get to decorate an entire home rather than just my measly little apartment. So with that in mind, I went in search of great home decor inspiration and pieces to add this holiday season. (including some I own!). If you haven’t decorated there is still time!
