7 Fall Trends Worth Embracing
Every year I feel like I look at nine million articles about fall fashion and fall fashion trends. With good reason…I always want to give my very best effort to be trendy and fashion-forward. But then there is the other side of the coin where I truly don’t understand some of the trends or why anyone would want to wear them. I:m looking at you, bucket hats. I wore one just one time in 1997 and that was enough for me.
This year it seems like in my quest to analyze trends, I’ve decided to embrace a combination of things. I tend to find myself going back to the same types of trends which really makes them more of staples than of trends. But hey, if you’re brave enough to bust out the fringe and the matching crop top/sweater sets, you are much braver than I. That said, here are 7 trends that will no doubt find their way into my closet in one way or another over the next few months.
LEATHER
The leather jacket is a wardrobe staple and my go-to, but this fall it’s time to change things up: leather separates.
STRAIGHT LEG JEANS
Straight leg jeans aren’t new, but they should be your go-to jeans for fall.
TRENCH COATS
Trench coats are another wardrobe staple, but this fall they take on new colors, lengths, and silhouettes.
BALLOON SLEEVES
Voluminous sleeves are here to stay and are currently one of my favorite fashion trends.
Puff Sleeve Top, Crop Balloon Sleeve Sweater, Midi Dress, Balloon Sleeve Sweater
PLAID
Plaid and checks always seem to just be in for fall every year, but there are always new ways to bring them into your closet.
CARDIGANS
Not just a Taylor Swift song. Cardigans take many shapes this fall from matching sets to tried and true classics.
OVERSIZED BLAZERS
Blazers are stylish and can still be worn with our mostly at home lifestyles. An oversized blazer elevates your fall style. Plus is another chance to bring those trendy checks into your wardrobe.
